Monoprints

These eight plexi-glass mono prints are a selection of over 100 prints - all variable dimensions, on scrap paper.
The project initially began as simple experimentation with the process of mono-printing. Ultimately the culmination of that experiment revealed an interest in text and i/legibility. The difficulty of writing backwards in order for the print to be read correctly functioned as a metaphor for the difficulty of explaining one’s (my) thoughts and feelings directly and clearly. Writing forwards, resulting in a print with backwards text, was easier for me but the message is not always clear to the reader.
