Walldrawing
This piece functioned as a sort of record of private performance, or the remnants of an action. Starting from a drawing practice mainly manifested via charcoal and paper, I moved to the wall (thanks to a professor’s suggestion). Here, the words I had been drawing on medium sized paper became as large or larger than my body and immersed viewers. Words like “hello” and “goodbye” repeated and mixed with lyrics or bits of conversation I heard outside of the room, or just phrases that came to mind.
